Lori Ferguson is the Founder and Principal Consultant of LF Consulting, LLC, bringing over 30 years of experience in education and workforce development, with a specialized focus on career and technical education. A recognized leader in the field, Lori has dedicated her career to designing, implementing, and advancing high-quality programs that align education with workforce demands and create meaningful pathways for students after graduation.
With a strong foundation in program development, Lori leads the expansion of high-impact training programs across Rhode Island and Connecticut in high-demand fields such as manufacturing, partnering closely with major employers like Electric Boat. Her work extends beyond the trades designing fully equipped, state of the art learning environments in culinary arts, cosmetology , and health sciences, where each initiative is thoughtfully developed to reflect trends, support transition to postsecondary, and prepare students for advanced entry into the workforce with recognized and valued credentials.
Lori is deeply committed to building leadership capacity within CTE. As an instructor and mentor at Roger Williams University Extension, she supports new teachers while also guiding emerging CTE administrators in navigating complex compliance areas such as grant management, program development, and data reporting. Through focused professional development and mentorship, she equips educators and leaders to implement effective, standards-aligned programs that meet state and federal expectations.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Susan Votto is an innovative leader with over 34 years of experience in workforce development. As the senior consultant of LF Consulting, LLC, she brings a wealth of expertise and a proven track record of driving innovation and collaboration across key industries, including manufacturing and the trades. Throughout her career, Susan has led impactful initiatives that foster industry partnerships creating training programs that address critical sectors. Additionally, she created impactful mentorship programs across Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
During her tenure as Workforce Development Director at Davies Career and Technical High School, she received numerous accolades for her contributions to the field. These include recognition from Providence Business News for Excellence in Collaboration in Manufacturing (2018, 2021, 2024), Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (2023), and Business Excellence (2019, 2020).
She has also taken on a leadership role in advancing health science career pathways, serving as co-chair of a post-secondary Health Science Professionals sub-committee. In this role, she supports alignment between post-secondary educational programs and local training hubs within the state, helping to create clearer, more effective pathways into high-demand healthcare fields.
Susan holds a Master's degree in Administration from Providence College and remains deeply engaged in the workforce development community.
DREW FERGUSON
SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT SPECIALIST
Drew’s passion for marketing was sparked early through his participation in a Career and Technical Education Graphic Communications program, setting the foundation for a dynamic and evolving pursuit. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the University of Rhode Island, where he further developed his strategic and creative expertise.
Drew began his professional journey in the sports industry, where he built a strong portfolio designing impactful branding and visual media for athletic teams. This experience sharpened his eye for design and storytelling, which naturally expanded into a broader focus on social media marketing and content creation.
Drew’s vision and adaptability enable him to deliver impactful results for clients, making him an integral part of the LF Consulting team.
HEATHER LIND
MARKETING & BRANDING CONSULTANT
Heather is a Branding and Marketing Specialist dedicated to blending creativity with strategy to elevate brand visibility and engagement. Holding a BS in Marketing and a minor in Data Analytics from Johnson & Wales University, she brings a sharp analytical lens to every project.
Her current work centers on employer branding and talent attraction, where she leverages performance insights to strengthen market presence. By combining compelling storytelling with strategic data, Heather helps clients attract top talent and build meaningful connections with their audiences, turning brand identity into a versatile asset for growth.
